So Shiffman is a bit of a Blue Devils fan…

…by which I mean he bleeds Duke Blue. He’s also still maintaining a healthy lead in the 2011 Blogging Scholarship. Vote for him so it stays that way.

Basketball is like Barbecue, everyone thinks they have a team, but the only rivalry that matters is in North Carolina.

  • re: basketball and barbecue… well said, sir. Do you know of any good barbecue places in Raleigh for science online, or do I have to take my crew to Durham?

Those horns, which I made myself out of Model Magic clay, got me interviewed on ESPN. Former courtside analyst (now in-booth analyst) Doris Burke saw me walking to the bathroom at halftime and asked me about them. Being a smartass and having had a few adult beverages, I replied that I had been born with the horns and that I was really happy to go to a school where people didn’t tease me for them.

Also, this particular photo was taken in Charleston… I dressed up in full Cameron Crazie to go watch a game at a bar with other alums.
