Important blogging scholarship update: All votes reset to zero and you can now vote every day!

Earlier tonight, I received an e-mail from the Blogging Scholarship organizers indicating that there have been some irregularities with the voting. In response, they have reset all votes to zero and have changed the rules. Everyone may now vote once every day, and the voting period has been extended one full week until November 30th.

This means that I need your help more than ever! The new voting page can be found here – and again, for those of you who only know me as WhySharksMatter, my real name (as it is listed on the ballot) is David Shiffman.

If you’ve already taken the time to vote for me, I’d really appreciate it if you could take the time to vote again so that it counts. If you can take the time to vote for me more than once (though no more than once per day), that would be great. Again, this money will be used to support ongoing shark conservation research, and some of it will be used to adopt a satellite-tagged shark in the name of Southern Fried Science’s readers. Also,  for every day that I’m leading in the vote count, Andrew will post an embarrassing picture of me.

Please go to the new voting page and vote for me, please share the new voting page with your friends and fellow ocean lovers, and please vote every day! Thanks for your continued support!
